Perry, N.Y. – (5/24/2017) – A few weeks removed from earning the 2017 East Coast Conference (ECC) Goalkeeper of the Year award and All-ECC First Team honors, Chestnut Hill College senior Thomas McDermott (Ridley, Pa.) has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Nike Division II All-American Team.

McDermott was one of five All-ECC honorees from Chestnut Hill College as the Scarlet and Gold net minder finished the regular season with an 8-4 overall record and ranked third in the nation for saves (138), eighth for save percentage (.603), and 24th in saves-per-game (11.5). BALTIMORE, MD. – For the second-straight year, junior LSM Connor Keating (Gladwyne, Pa./Haverford School) has been named a USILA All-America honoree as he was selected as a third team pick as announced on Wednesday morning by the association.

Keating was chosen as an honorable mention honoree just a season ago as the postseason accolades continue to roll in for long-stick middie. The Quakers last had a third team honoree at the conclusion of the 2014 season when Brian Feeney, Zack Losco, and Maxx Meyer also earned the distinction.

The award follows a postseason where Keating was chosen as an Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-America, an ECAC Second Team honoree a First-Team All-Ivy selection for the second-straight year. Regarded as one of the best LSM’s in the country, Keating entered the season as a Tewaaraton Award Watch List member and lived up to the billing as one of the top scoring long-poles in the country with 10 goals and two assists for 13 points this season while scoring in eight of the Quakers 12 games. Keating led the Red and Blue with a team-high 57 ground balls and added four caused turnovers for the season.

The Quakers concluded 2017 with a 7-6 overall record and 3-3 mark in Ivy League play. The Red and Blue entered the Ivy League Tournament as the No. 4 seed and fell in quadruple overtime to Yale, 13-12, who earned the NCAA bid following their win of the conference tournament.
